Privacy policy
Updated November 2, 2026. Fieldwork local tools is operated by its owner for personal use with the owner’s Google account.
Information accessed and used
With the account owner's consent, the tools can access Gmail messages and attachments, Google Drive files, Docs, Sheets, Calendar events, and Contacts. Information is used for tasks requested or configured by the owner, including search, summaries, personal organization, document editing, and calendar workflows. The permissions granted through Google may be broader than an individual task needs; local wrappers restrict actions such as sending, deleting, and sharing.
Storage and processing
OAuth credentials are stored locally in an encrypted credential store. Local files, exports, and operational logs may retain information needed for the owner's work. Revoking Google access prevents future authorized reads but does not delete existing exports or logs.
When the owner requests AI assistance, relevant Google content may be included in the chosen assistant's context and processed by its provider under that service's account settings and terms. This is not a promise that all processing stays on the computer. Public pages on this website do not contain private Google account data.
Disclosure and limits
The tools do not sell Google account information, use it for advertising, or train general-purpose AI models. Transfers are limited to services needed for the owner's requested tasks or destinations the owner authorizes. Fieldwork local tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Control and retention
The owner can revoke access through Google Account connections, remove local credentials, and delete local exports or logs. Local working records remain until the owner deletes them. Copies processed or retained by an assistant provider are governed by that provider's controls and retention terms.
